Matt King has a proven track record of over 20 years in state, local and federal government relations.  Formerly the owner of King Public Strategies, throughout his career, Matt has demonstrated success in lobbying, issue management and business development for companies and associations that engage in policy discussions in state and federal arenas.

Previously, King served as vice president of government affairs at United Healthcare for Tennessee, Arkansas, Virginia and North Carolina. Before joining United Healthcare, he served as Majority Leader Ron Ramsey’s senior policy advisor, and eventually, Lieutenant Governor and Speaker of the Senate Ron Ramsey’s chief of staff. Among his other accomplishments, King headed the Tennessee Republican Party as executive director, worked with Speaker of the House Beth Harwell and served as Tennessee state director of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB).

With a diverse background in Republican administrations, statewide associations and Fortune 500 companies, paired with the solid Republican majority in both the House and Senate, King’s credentials are perfectly suited to navigate clients to legislative success.
