Alex Armas, an associate with the Crux Strategies, Armas started his career in 2014 with an internship through the University Of Tennessee, with the Tennessee House of Representatives. After graduating from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor's degree in political science, Armas studied public policy and administration at the University of Tennessee’s Howard Baker Center for Public Policy. During his program, Armas interned for King Public Strategies under Crux Strategies VP of Government Relations Matt King and JohnsonPoss Government Relations as a shared intern. During his graduate studies, Armas also worked for UT’s Institute for Public Service, the Naifeh Center for Effective Leadership, and the Law Enforcement Innovation Center before becoming a taking a full-time position as an associate with King Public Strategies.

During his tenure at King Public Strategies, Armas has worked both offensively and defensively on several legislative issues that have made him a seasoned government relations consultant. He now advises Crux Strategies on all policy issues, runs communications and marketing for the firm and uses his effective communication skills to build relationships and lobby individuals connected to the industries the firm serves. Armas has proven to be an efficient, highly-motivated individual and a reliable member of the team. We are excited to have him join us at Crux Strategies.
