May 15, 2018

NASHVILLE, TN – Crux Strategies is pleased to welcome David Adams to the firm as Vice President of Business Intelligence & Revenue Cycle Management.

“We are thrilled to welcome David to our growing team at Crux Strategies. As a former Divisional Chief Information Officer for HCA, and a lifelong technology entrepreneur specializing in healthcare, David brings a wealth of technology experience and expertise, as well as the ability to innovate,” said C. Timothy Gary, CEO of Crux Strategies.

David’s previous positions highlight his innovative solutions. While at HCA, a Fortune 25 company, he improved employee productivity by 50% and reduced recurring expenses by over $20 million annually by creating efficiencies in workforce process management and workforce quality. David also led budget creation and execution of a one-half billion-dollar PACS project, the largest technology project in company history, at the request of the HCA board.

During his time at HCA, David held the position of Chief Information Officer for a division and oversaw over 20 hospitals. He led the integration of major clinical systems for those hospitals and directed supply chain integration with an internal GPO, saving over $120 million dollars in two years. In addition, while at HCA, David also served as President of Carolina Health Group, where he established successful physician practice management software and grew the business to over 150 locations within three years.

David also served as the Chief Operations and Technology Officer for a start-up portfolio company of a $4 billion dollar private equity group. David used technology to improve medication therapy and risk management through analytics and telephonic intervention. These techniques drove improvement of Medicare Part D STAR quality ratings for clients like Humana, United Health, and Optum, and resulted in over $200 million in incremental revenue for clients.

David holds an MBA from the Vanderbilt University Owen School of Management.
